The NSW Selective High School Placement Test is how students earn a place at academically selective high schools like James Ruse, Baulkham Hills, North Sydney, and Sydney Girls. Year 6 students sit the exam, and every year thousands of applicants compete for a limited number of spots.
The test covers reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, thinking skills (general ability), and writing. Doing well means being fast, strategic, and comfortable with every question type. That takes real preparation, and that is what this program is for.
We cover every component of the selective school placement test.
Vocabulary, inference, and text analysis across fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. We drill the exact reading skills the selective test requires until they become second nature.
The selective test maths goes well beyond the school curriculum. We cover problem-solving, pattern recognition, and arithmetic at the level the exam actually demands.

Before anything else, we test your child across reading, maths, thinking skills, and writing to see exactly where they stand and what needs the most attention.
Each week we work through reading, maths, thinking skills, and writing with focused practice material. Available in-person at our Marsden Park centre or online.
Full-length timed practice tests under real exam conditions. Afterwards, we go through every mistake together so your child knows exactly what to fix.
